ROUND 5 E 6 A soli due weekend dallo spettacolare appuntamento di Roma, la Formula E torna in pista e lo fa per un altro double header che ci porterà già a quota sei tappe disputate nonostante la pandemia da Covid-19 stia rendendo comunque molto complicata l’organizzazione degli eventi sui circuiti cittadini. Proprio per questo motivo, la categoria full electric per la prima volta lascia le piste temporanee per correre su un tracciato permanente: a ospitare Antonio Felix Da Costa e sfidanti al titolo elettrico è infatti il Ricardo Tormo Circuit di Valencia Cheste, già sede dei test precampionato. EPRIX VALENCIA 2021, CIRCUITO
La Formula E non ci ha mai corso ufficialmente, ma il circuito di Valencia è di sicuro uno di quelli che i piloti della categoria elettrica conoscono mesglio di tutti. Non soltanto perché si tratta di una delle piste solitamente utilizzate da molte categorie minori e propedeutiche, ma anche e soprattutto perché è da anni il vero e proprio quartier generale della serie nonché sede dei test precampionato. In occasione del doppio ePrix spagnolo – il primo della storia in terra iberica – il Ricardo Tormo si rifà comunque il look, con una chicane posizionata nella parte iniziale del rettilineo del traguardo. 3.376 metri di lunghezza e 15 curve, con l’Attack Zone posizionata tra le curve 8 e 9, in un punto dove si raccordano due differenti versioni della pista.
EPRIX VALENCIA 2021, STATISTICHE
Come detto, la Formula E non ha mai corso al Ricardo Tormo di Valencia, ma ha comunque percorso tantissimi chilometri sulla pista spagnola solitamente utilizzata dalla MotoGp per il gran finale di stagione. Nelle ultime due stagioni, il mattatore a Valencia è stato il pilota Bmw, Maximilian Gunther, autore del record della pista nei test 2021 con il tempo di 1:11.760. Un crono che difficilmente sarà battuto nel weekend, visto che si utilizzerà una versione del tracciato con la chicane sul rettilineo che alzerà di qualche secondo i tempi sul giro.
EPRIX VALENCIA 2021, ORARI TV
Dopo Ad Diriyah e Roma, anche Valencia, pur essendo originariamente un appuntamento unico in calendario, si sdoppia per aumentare il numero di gara riducendo al contempo gli sforzi organizzativi. Il weekend inizierà già al venerdì con il primo shakedown di 15 minuti, in programma alle 17.30. Di seguito tutti gli orari dettagliati delle sessioni del weekend spagnolo.
