Archiviato lo scoppiettante inizio di stagione di Ad Diriyah, la Formula E riparte da Città del Messico per il terzo round del Mondiale 2022. A ospitare il circus elettrico è di nuovo il circuito Hermanos Rodriguez, che torna in calendario dopo un anno in cui la sede dell’ePrix del Messico, a causa dell’emergenza pandemica che aveva trasformato la pista della capitale in un grande ospedale da campo, si era spostata sul tracciato permanente di Puebla. È da qui che riprende la caccia alle dominanti Mercedes Silver Arrow 02 che, con il team ufficiale e con i clienti del team Venturi Racing, hanno portato a casa il doppio successo in Arabia Saudita.

EPRIX CITTÀ DEL MESSICO 2022, CIRCUITO
Il layout della pista, come da tradizione per la categoria elettrica, è ben differente rispetto a quello da 4.304 metri utilizzato dalla Formula 1. De Vries e sfidanti saranno infatti ancora una volta impegnati nel tracciato “corto” di 2.606 metri già usato nel 2020, che condivide con la classe maggiore il rettilineo di partenza e la zona che si snoda all’interno dello Stadio.
EPRIX CITTÀ DEL MESSICO 2022, STATISTICHE
Per quanto concerne le statistiche, lo specialista di Città del Messico è Lucas Di Grassi, vincitore nel 2017 e nel 2019, oltre che della prima manche 2021 sul circuito di Puebla (l’altra è stata vinta dal suo attuale compagno in Venturi, Edoardo Mortara). L’ultima edizione dell’ePrix messicano disputato nella Capitale, risalente al 2020, è stata vinta invece da Mitch Evans. Un successo a testa anche per i non più presenti Jerome D’Ambrosio e Daniel Abt.

Ci eravamo quasi abituati al doppio appuntamento, ma adesso la Formula E torna al “classico” singolo ePrix di scena al sabato, con il primo shakedown in programma nella giornata di venerdì. Confermata, come già visto nel debutto stagionale di fine gennaio a Ad Diriyah, la diretta in chiaro sui canali Mediaset e quella sul satellite di Sky Sport (con i corrispettivi SkyGo e Now in streaming sul web).
